USSC replacement wood and coal furnace blower. Sold individually. Some units may require two blowers.Replacement 800 CFM wood and coal furnace blower. Fits models Clayton 1602M & 1802G Clayton & USSC 8500 Multi Fuel. Other common names for this type of blower are Room Air Blower and Convection blower.The Distribution Blower pulls in the room's cool air, pushing that air over the heated body of the furnace which makes it warm. The warmed air is then pushed back into the room creating a warm cozy home. The second purpose of the blower is to prevent the furnace from overheating. Pushing cool air over the body of the furnace it is removing some of the heat that the furnace is radiating. If your blower is running slow or not at all your furnace will shut down due to overheating. Check that the blower is not clogged with dust/fur and that it is running up to speed. If it has slowed down due to wear or does not spin at all you will need to replace this part.
